Default Navigation Screen Replacement

Has anyone cracked their navigation lcd and replaced it themselves? is it as easy as buying a replacement LCD screen and replacing it with the uncracked one?

It can be if you buy the right part and have a decent working knowledge of electronic device repair.

My touch screen stop working yesterday . I think I am just going to buy a screen and replace it myself. How long will it take? How much money I am looking at? I found some Chinese screens for 150-200 bucks but I wonder if should go with a better quality one.

the hardest part is taking out the dash. everything else is plug and play and screws if u get the screen replacement. 4-5 hours i would say but if you did this already should only take 2 hours.
