WTF! 2013 Headlight Bubbling Issue
My 11's were replaced under warranty as well. I have the 12+ now which is a black chrome; my 11's were a flat black which I guess didn't reflect the heat as well.
2+ years with no bubbling yet..fingers crossed.

Odd, I have a 2013 and have put 3M Protective film on the whole front of the car including headlights.
I replaced the protective film a few months back and the headlights and front bumper look brand new.
No Yellowing or bubbling, and this is after nearly 4 years of Extreme sunny, sandy weather (living on a sand dune here)
Surprised so many people are having this problem.
Could the 3M protective film really help by this much? i.e. stops bubbling and yellowing issue on the headlights?

The bubbling comes from the projector, not the sun. If you look at where your bubbling is likely occurring, it is in front of the projector housing. It won't matter if you put the 3M film on the lamp. It will either happen to you or it won't. I opened a few of the bubbled headlights up, cleaned them up, repainted with high temp paint and haven't had any problem.

Thanks to the OP, otherwise I thought my '12 was fine. Driver's side had bubble, took it in for service to look at, they ordered and replaced both with the ones with chrome trim (vs. black), also replaced my weak battery. Only thing was that they forgot to reclip the plastic cover right behind the grill, and the 4 clips at the fender liners were not snapped back.
I noticed my 2012 with less than 12K miles has 3 small bubbles on the driver side headlight. My car is 4 months out of Manufacturers warranty. The dealer said the CPO warranty does not cover headlights, but the issue should have been identified/replaced during the 161 point CPO inspection. The service rep said I could contact Lexus corporate headquarters to open a case to see if they will replace them under the TSB. Wish me luck...
On my '12 lexus replaced both with brand new '12 model again, after eight months one of them started to bubble so finaly they did "their" research and replaced both again with the "upgraded" one with black chrome, no bubbling with those yet but it's just the matter of time, my bumper to bumper will expire within a month but I don't think I'll pay $3500 for it just incase future headlight bubbles, will have to live with it I guess
I just discovered that mine are starting to bubble on my 2012. I wasn't aware of bubbling issues with the headlights until I came across this thread last week, at which point I checked, and sure enough bubbling. I'm pretty choked because my factory warranty just expired on Sept.23/16. I called my dealership last week to see if there was anything that they could do for me with some kind of a grace period, but they said because I am not the original owner that they can't offer anything like that. That's what they told me Lexus Canada would say to them anyway. He did admit to me that if I had made them aware of the headlight issue before the warranty ran out, then they would have been swapped out for new ones, no questions asked. I just wish I knew about this issue beforehand.
This is a major **** off because Lexus is well aware of this issue and should be replacing these defective headlights in my opinion. There is no way that a car only 5 years old should having the paint bubbling in their headlights.

Maybe we should just lay some vinyl inside the housing!
