Default Full Bolt On 0-60 Time

Has anybody done a 0-60 time with their F that has I/E/H combo? I have decided to keep my F and not trade it for a CTS-V so I will be adding headers soon to go with my Joe Z exhaust.

Haha, not just being nice, u car def pulled harder. I know there are sub 12 second 1/4 mile times, I was just wondering if anybody documented a 0-60 time with all the goodies on the car.

Thanks man and I wonder the same (as we have discussed)...someone explain the best way to do this myself (without spending a lot of money for a timer) and I will try it with my ISF...I mean I could assume that someone could ride with me with a stop watch and try it that way but how accurate would that be?

I think the best way to do it cheaply is a camera that has some slow-mo settings aim it at your speedo and tach and accelerate then edit the video and take the clip time of 0-60. Know anyone with a go-pro?

With ample traction, 0-60 with IHE and decent conditions is 3.8-3.9 sec

interesting.. didn't think our car would hit 60 under 4.. I'm more interested in highway pulls like 40-120, cause how often do you take off at a stop light versus taking on someone that pulls up next to you on the freeway. I have a go pro and i/h/e, didn't know there was a slo-mo feature. Or anyone with an iphone 5s and a stable hand can manage to do slo-mo.

seems like a stretch that 35-40 HP (8-9% increase in power) will make that big of an improvement from a dead stop when fighting for traction even more. We are talking .9 second improvementover Lexus' advertised time. Thats night and day. A rolling start is one thing but from a dead stop with only a slight boost seems more like seat of the pants numbers.

Not calling BS but seems like a stretch that we can reach 458 Italia and McLaren MP12C numbers with a few bolt ons.

If someone can prove this with a GoPro Video I will buy the bolt ons tomorrow. Id say what seems realistic would be .3-.5 seconds with the bolt ons and tires .

458 Ferrari and Mclaren are 3 seconds flat to 60 so not even in same ballpark as 3.9, Lexus says 4.6 but some car mags say 4.2 so who really knows.

Lexus and many manufactures usually advertise really conservative number. Hp and time. This way people that can't cries about the car is not performing as advertised. That's why the C7 are doing it in 3.7 sec in real life, and GM is advertising 4.2

The 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds (official manufacturer's time). I know what youre saying but I know you know what Im saying too
We need hard numbers. Estimates is for horse shoes and hand grenades. Even 0-60 times.com lists the ISF as 4.2. Might be possible

I am aware of the more conservative posted times but let not blow smoke up out own tailpipes. Dip into the 3..8-3.9 seconds with a 3800 lb sedan with 255 rear tires and about 4k in exhaust mods . IT WOULD BE AMAZING........... but Im not holding my breath. If the new vette is posting times in the high threes with more torque and minus 450 lbs with wider tires and launch control. I dont think the F is going to match

You never know. I wish I had the equipment to measure. In the meantime Im calling my ISF fast as hell

Toothdoc isn't on stock tires for sure, probably even DR. At 400-420whp or roughly 500hp crank, our car actually makes more power than the C7 stock so 3.9 isn't unreasonable with good tires. Especially with Toothdoc car being 120 lbs lighter than stock. Best stock number according to magazines are 4.2. So knocking down another .4 with 60+whp increase plus sticky tires isn't unreasonable at all.
Racelogic is a fairly accurate device

4.2-4.3 is what it does stock under ideal conditions and no wheelspin. Measured by VBOX with NO rollout. 3.9-4.0 is FBO under ideal conditions and using sticky tires and about 150 pounds lighter than stock (no spare, low fuel, lightweight rims, lightweight battery, HE - I don't use intake) and that's also with NO rollout.

These are IDEAL condtiions - read: no slip, cool day like 45-50 degree days. No AC, traction disabled, and paddle shifting times.

A 3.4 0-60 is SIGNIFICANTLY faster than 3.9. Having said that, both 458 and MP4-12C are around 3.0 0-60 and I'm sure a MP4-12C with drag radials could probably hit 2.8 which means by the time those cars hit 60, our cars are only doing 45-50 and the race is LONG over.
