I never use the rear cup holders. So no issues there.

I had a similar problem with the rear cupholders as well. My gf places all sorts of bottles back there, from aloe vera to hand sanitizers and occasionally a sippy cup for her younger siblings. I've noticed that when I make a sharp turn, it angles whatever is housed in the cup holder at such a sharp angle that it puts pressure on the little plastic flip part- the one that broke off in your second pic. I can only presume that a continual load of pressure in the opposite direction it was meant for (that sharp angle), will cause it to snap. It's just better left not to use it, since it's likely going to happen to the other side as well. But it just goes to show that there is limited use of any of the cupholders, both front and rear, on the F.

I'm wondering why you're paying attention to your rear cup holder while making a sharp turn, very observant

haha My gf sits in the rear when we transport her younger cousins, and she has mentioned it a few times to me .She's asked why the stuff she places in between those cupholders aren't staying put. But I myself haven't seen it happen, much less heard a cracked plastic part. And doing a quick search on Sewell, it might not be a costly piece, but just a hassle to have to replace if it needed to be.
