Default Question about painting calipers

Hey guys...I am going to paint the calipers without removing them...I will tape off everything..my question is this...after they are painted...do I place the brembo stickers on..then spray the clear coat?

Also how many coats of vht paint and clear coat do you guys recommend?

IMO.....Typically 3 coats of spray will be fine - as you will have dry time in between coats (20 minutes)
...let it cure for at least 24 hours, then the stickers

...some light coats of high temp clear is all that is needed (as many applications as you want)

.....but in very light stages or coats each time (particularly on that first coat over the stickers)

If you go too heavy on the first one the stickers may curl as the vinyl reacts to the overcoat.

3 coats of paint, giving time to dry in between and then apply the stickers. Next, I did 2 clear coats.

I bought my paint from automotivetouchup.com best aerosol cans ever!!! you can pick any color paint you want and then the clear sprays on so nice!

I did about 5-6 coats of color with 15 minutes in between coats.... really depends on outside temp it was like 80 here so coats dried fast. Put on my BREMBO decals and did about 5- 6 coats of the clear looks perfect and no problems!!!

good luck

What kind of prepping is involved before painting? Sanding? Brake cleaner?

No clear coat over my decals. Make them much easier to replace if needed and will never bubble
