The car is a 6-speed manual and has a K04 turbo upgrade w/tune & AWE dual exhaust system. It will outrun a V8 S5 and still top 30 mpg on the highway. For me, it's the perfect blend of style and performance.
pls report back at 100k

I would, but I've never kept a car for 100k miles. Either way, three years on my Audi with it running a larger-than-stock turbo with higher boost and zero problems means that I'm a happy camper.

Also in regards to performance I would be curious to see a heavily modified A5 try to keep up with a stock ISF.

Because with an Audi…the problems start getting out of control at 100k miles

i'd get the audi only because I could have a stick

That's how much I dislike auto's even if they are as good as the 8spd. Just takes so much fun out of the car...

However, since I have a manual supra my fix is gained there, so I chose the Lexus.

I don't know about heavily modified, but that certainly doesn't describe my car. I have nothing but a turbo upgrade (and it's only a little bigger than stock), a tune, and exhaust. With those mods, I'm quicker than a stock V8 S5. I'm probably at very low 13s or possibly high 12s with a hard launch. I can pretty much stay side-by-side with the new 5.0 Mustangs and I think they run high 12s if I'm not mistaken.

This is my first Audi. The vast majority of the cars I've owned have been Japanese and I've never kept one of those past 100K miles either. I guess you can say that I just get bored of the same car after 4 or 5 years.

I'm thinking maybe an M4 is in my future. I've had two M3s in the past and the new one really has me interested because it's a turbo car. And I love turbo cars.

Me too. I can't bring myself to buy a sporty car that doesn't have a clutch pedal. It's just no fun for me any other way.

I am going to go ahead here and call BS here, an say ain't happening! The A5 2.0t with a. Stick is a 6.5 second to 60 car when stock. You would have to add close to 200hp to your car to keep up with a stock mustang 5.0 to keep up, and you are NOT getting that from a tune and a "close to stock" turbo. I work on Audi's, BMW's and Mercs EVERYDAY and IMHO there are no bigger pieces of junk on the road. As far as I am concerned the Koreans' build a better vehicle than the Germans do!

Okay bud.....whatever you say. But realize that I'm running much higher boost with that bigger turbo. 14 psi stock and 21 psi with the bigger turbo. I have not had the car on a dyno, so I really can't say how much power its making for sure. You can believe whatever you want.

21 psi (33% increase) on pump gas with just a tune? Sounds a bit scary for longevity.
