Reading more and more on rcf; motortrend seems to know a lot about it. The beefed up 455/401 v8. Recaro/Lexus front seats. Brembo 6&4 piston calipers with slotted disks all around. Carbon hood roof and trunk lid. Revised 8 speed from the isF. Lots of lfa aero technology. Sachs racing shocks. Higher flow race tuned exhaust and upgraded fuel system from the isf. Priced north of 100k!!!! Sounds like the step above the F we have all wanted. Il be bumbed if it's that much.

Who cares about rear brakes? I'm nearly at 100k miles and still haven't worn out the rears - pads or discs.

I'm with lobuxracer, rear brakes are plenty on the Isf, I'm at 60k and even with all the road coursing and drag striping have yet to change rear disks. I changed to carbotec xp10 in the rear at 20k for better stopping and they aren't half gone 40k later.
I dunno if no one will buy it at 100 k. Depending how light the rcf is, With these specs it may have a pretty hot lap time, and we all know it's going to be beautiful in the interior. They sold the lfa out at 375 over many high end competitors being half the money (no one knows how many RcF they are going to make, maybe less than the isf). The c63 black is over 100 and they sell those just fine. I imagine it's going to quite faster than the isf from the factory, I was watching it do laps from spy videos and it's not pokie, I can tell you that. I'm hoping for a sub 7:30 lap at nurburgring. But I can't lie I was hoping for 75-85 price tag. Either way it is a real Lexus sports car which the isf is not. If it's another 40 grand that sucks but you pay to play, especially in the luxury sports car game.

That motortrend article is old...
The RCF is slatted for the updated V8 pushing 460HP... (per leaked media evite site)
(Still waiting for the new motor designation)
Ballpark starting price guestimate $75-$85k
Here is the last photo put out in next months "BestCar" magazine overseas..
I did not blur the image..

I was hoping they would bring in the BBS Nürburgring wheels off the LFA and as seen on the "Test Mules"... But I guess that's the final choice as shown on the official teaser.
The Exhaust is a project we are eagerly ready for.
Just waiting for the RCF to make official landfall..!!

Yes the wheels are not appealing at all... Most of that comes from the LF-CC

Did you change your mind about the Porsche? But as JoeZ has stated, that $75K price tag looks a lot more reasonable and likely. Can't wait to see some of the final numbers as far as weight, 0-60, quarter-mile, and 'Ring lap times. Really though, the price tag is what has been tough to pin down. If it comes in significantly higher than the M4, but with similar performance numbers, and that'll be interesting.
