Default Drag Setup On Coilovers

hi guys.

first I want to note that thanks to dv8, a suitable drag setup for the F was found through trial and error. this setup WILL clear the stock rear brakes:

XXR 522 17x9 w/+42mm offset mounted on 275/40/17 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials.

This combo is obviously intended for the rear wheels only (drag strip).
My question: if one is lowered on coilovers, will this setup fit w/minimal to no rubbing?
I have KW V3 installed on recommended KW settings (recommended drop, nothing crazy, but lowered nonetheless).

Does anyone have any experience with coilovers and drag setup?

toothdoc can chime in when he checks the forum. I think he was on BC coils and swift spring but not 100%.

Most of us including toothdoc run 245/40/18 MT ET Street tires and according to the calculations your 275/40/17 is nearly identical in diameter. I have coil-overs with zero issues and my best guess is you won't have any issues either. BTW.. What drag strip are you heading to?

Tis the season to be... DRAG RACING! LOL I second caymandive's response. I'm not expecting much improvement in myself this year - but I'm going to experiment with a 25" outer diameter R compound rear tire to see if that gets me out of the hole a little quicker. ET is all about getting started as quick as possible.

Question Drag Racing Technique

You guys who have experience. What is the best starting line technique? My ex drag racing friends doubt that my 2011 will dip into the 12's. I need to hopefully prove them wrong.

I think:

1. it has the limited slip differential, so I think stock or wider stock tires should be enough. Most of you drag racing your cars seem to have open differentials.
2. 36 pounds tire pressure on stock type tires or something else?
3. get out all unnecessary weight.
4. "foot break" in first gear?
5. use "sport" and let it shift for itself or manuel shift at red line?
6. "heat" the stock style tires or not?
7. cool the radiator with water?
8. use an octane booster or just use fresh fuel. I usually fill with Costco premium because it is convenient. They claim added fuel injection cleaner and they have a good octane booster available for when they add regular in a car requiring premium. They claim it works.

I lived and breathed drag racing during the seventies and eighties traveling to most west coast national events, but I'm sure I'm rusty.

Lorenr the ISF bone stock is a 12 second car, your friend doesn't know what he's saying. Anything +/- 1 second of the stock time is a good run IMO. I didn't even do half the stuff you listed and I ran a 13.0. Full interior (no weight reduction), all season tires, half a tank of gas, Sport Mode, M mode, TOMS throttle controller set to SP3. I went around the waterbox. Shift after the beep but right before redline. The more experienced guys can chime in on the launch, which is something i need to work on. Ok enough rambling

There are plenty of stock F's than ran 12's in the 1/4. DV8 ran a 12.6. I ran a 12.8 on stock tires & tire pressure, no weight reduction. If you can get around the water box do that. If not a small burnout to get the water off will do. I take off the engine cover and lift the hood between runs at the staging lanes. TRAC/VSC off, Sport ON, manual shift. Left foot brake and bring the revs up as the tree drops. I'm still working on getting a decent launch with my MT ET Streets. ToothDoc, Cayman, DV8 and a few others have really good launch technique.

Here's my F running stock:
