Default PPE making exhaust?

Saw someone wrote in a thread that PPE is making an exhaust due out in November for F that has electric cutouts to silence it. Anybody have any more info on this? My wife would love the ability to silence my Joe Z so this could be a big winner in my household.

They don't have a vendors account so they can't

I've looked into this for previous cars.. cutouts would be awesome, super loud or stock sounding. However, I was told that the car's computer takes X amount of miles to adjust and to take into account the loss of back pressure. So it really hurts performance if you flip them up and down regularly because the car doesn't have time to adjust. Im no expert in this kind of stuff, its just what I've been told.. makes sense tho.

Def makes sense. I didn't reset my ecu after my joe z install and it was def not performing correctly so I can see the cutout thing messing things up.

I run e-cutouts and have no issues opening and closing, with idle or with WOT.

Yep, the cat's out of the PPE bag. There is a new exhaust coming with what I have dubbed a dual mode muffler. The muffler will have two outlets. One always flowing, and the other, electronically controlled will activate when needed.

As much as I love my modified stock exhaust, I will be the test mule for the PPE new exhaust system. I'll report my findings.

I'll post what I herd

PPE is currently working on a prototype exhaust. Its suppose to have the valves for noise. Its suppose to get releases sometime in november.

So start saving your money.
