ca: dmv says car not in system
i just bought a cpo 2012 isf a week or so ago and i just got a letter in the mail from the insurance company saying the cars vin either does not match the car or is not in the system. the car history was clear of any accidents and is original owner, also it is 101% correct matching.
anyone have had this happen to them? im going to call the insurance company tomorrow and try n sort things out?

I had this happen to me when I purchased my F. The insurance lady had it listed as a 250 for 6 months before DMV let her know it was an F. The fact that it's not in a system is odd, considering it was a CPO. Mine took place was when the F was first introduced into the market, and there was about a 3 month delay between receiving that "notice of suspension" letter from the DMV to actually receiving my plates. It should be settled rather quickly. But as long as it is insured under the correct VIN, there shouldn't be any troubles.
