Just an update. I tried the fix and that didn't work so I purchased a new scree from the ebay guy. Works perfect.

My issue isn't with my touchscreen, it's with my CD changer that's totally stuck and not even accesible from the screen. I'm going to be testing out my extended warranty for that in the coming week or two. Without my ipod kit to hold me over I would have killed myself by now...

 

I have had that problem about 2 years ago. they fixed it no problem. You should be ok
