Pay now or Pay later?
I put it to the test during lunch today. The unit detected K-band, and not 1 minute after detection with a sustained tone, I watched a black and white cruise by in the carpool lane. Placebo effect? Call it what you want, but I think we're off to a positive start!
I have to agree with this. My only ticket I ever got was by a photo radar and was due to me not being diligent; and it was stupid anyway as I was going about 11 over the limit. That was in my supercharged Stang. None through my SR20DET 240SX, RX8, 370Z, or ISF. You can almost tell where cops will be staked out.
It really depends on where you are driving as to how useful one might be. My usual route is in town and in traffic making the V1 pretty much useless. It's still nice to have on roadtrips thoug and it at least makes long drives more interesting.
Probably not what you think...
Seeing as how we drive a pretty fast car, I think for most of us, it's probably just a matter of time before we have at least an encounter with The Man.
Pay to play, right? So today, I took a preemptive measure and picked me up a Passport Escort 9500ix after reading tons of reviews. Hopefully it will prove to be a wise investment...
Who else has a functional windshield ornament??

As far as getting your speed measured from the air, you can fight those tickets. When you come to court both the cop who gave you the ticket and the person who was on the plane have to show up. The pilot usually won't. You just have to make a motion to dismiss since whatever the cop says is a hearsay. He did not see you speeding and was not the one capturing the speed.
