There was a thread in IS section a few yrs back , there was a member in the Midwest of the US had a few rats nesting in the cabin air intake box along with some kernels inside He didnt find out until he smelled foul odor in his car. Those rats were already dead when he opened the cabin air filter lolz.

A little fun fact.

Reason why mice and rats chew on wires? Mostly due to humans not using latex gloves when running cables, so the oil from your hands eating Cheetos puts oil flavors on the wires and they can still smell it.

When I was running tele-co wiring we always had to use gloves for this reason.
