I'm a proud father
Last night I was flipping through the channels and came across a show that followed the construction of a Ferrari 599 through the Maranello factory. My three year old son came into the room and was immediately mesmerized by the show. He sat down next to me and watched the entire thing. He even passed up a chance to go to a different room and watch one of his favorite cartoons with his older brother. I think I may have a little car nut on my hands.

Here are a two funny things he said while we were watching the show:
"Daddy, I will buy you a Ferrari one day if poppy gives me lots of money."
"Daddy, you had a Ferrari too!" <---He saw the prancing horse logo and remembered the emblem on the front of the Mustang I used to have. I had to explain to him the differences in the emblems because I don't want my kid confusing Mustangs for Ferraris!
Thanks for sharing great story!!! You've got a smart young man there.
When my son was around that age we would walk the new and used car lots with our coffees (his was coffee milk in an iced coffee cup
) and look at the cars. By the time he was about three, my son had somehow learned all the emblems for cars! My completely biased opinion is that he was very good at it too.
Hey some kids can name all 40+ presidents on sight, mine could name cars by their emblems. we all bring something different to the table, ya know

My pops let me drive starting when I was about 9. It was an old 80's Toyota pickup with a bench seat and I would sit right next to him steering the wheel and gasing it with my left foot. Man those were exciting moments. Start them young, when they grow up, they will thank you for the addiction.
I watched that show, too. Amazing factory, trees and other foliage right in the middle of it. Known as the nicest factory in Italy to work in. Guess so, they build Ferarri's....
Watched a guy build the V-12 that goes in the 599. Each engine built by from the ground up by a single tech. High tech paint, etc.
Some of the best times I had with my boys involved cars, especially when they finally got their own rides. They'd always ask for a new stereo, or rims, and the rest of Christmas was spent installing their gifts. Now both of them can change their own oil, do brakes, clutch, water pumps, etc. Nothing better than the hi 5 and hug when you got done.
