Default Hit the dyno today! What do you think???

Like it says ,me and my F hit the dyno jet with 83.9 temp cero smoothing and the results where three passes of 340 whp , inputs thoughs??? The car is bone stock and it was run w 93 octane traction control off and sport mode of course ac/ off

excellent we are doing ok so far then , tomorrow ppe header installation , hope i finish on time , late night party w the gf!!!

Im doing this because I want to know what where the performance gains if any w the parts I install like I said tomorrow headers next week dyno, after that joe z and dyno , after afe oiled drop in and dyno

wait is it recommended to turn sport mode on or off when doing a dyno run?

Well to me is fundamental to turn on the sport mode on because all Im trying tondo is simulate the same running conditions i have on the car when max power is need it

Sport mode off, VDC off. Pull in 5th

^^^^I disagree. Sport Mode On, VDC Off, Pull in 6th. Sixth is the one to one transmission gear ratio. If you pull in any other gear, IMO, you will not get an accurate reading. Other's on this forum pull in 6th, and if you want to compare, you should use the same set-up. Also, again IMO, the DynoJet Dyno is the most accurate. Sport mode does nothing to change the output power, it just changes the ECM logic to make the car feel more aggressive.

This is exactly what a dyno should be used for. It's a tool to measure gains based on mods and/or tuning. Putting up a number without a baseline on the same dyno under similar conditions is not all that instructive. But yes, these cars put down around ~340whp stock, so you're right in there where you should be. With your headers, exhaust and drop in filter, you should be in the low 400s.

I know the quest for more power gets many of us, but 400whp is nothing to sneeze at!

I hope you are right because 400 whp is my goal , it wont matter if i dont reach it but thats the goal, my car wont be sprayed so what ever it reach w those mods its wht it is

By the way did the installation of the ppe yesterday got delayed by a stripped o2 sensor wich ill get during the week, so i guess the dyno seasion of just ppe headers will be held on next week hopefully keep you guys posted not that bad the install we where able to doit in arroun 8 hrs bit my ppe are brand spanking new but they are the old desing and they had to replace the dip stickmlike sikky and that was a pAinin the but and the instruction disnt help either
