Hah. That is some ****! I offered these guys (Terry) $28,000 cash for this car more than a month ago and they wouldn't budge from the 30k asking price. Car would've been sold if they had... Sellers specialize in salvage cars, so I'm guessing the car would have been repaired properly. The things I didn't like about it were the excess wear of the driver's seat on a car supposedly only having 60k miles on it. The center console isn't the steal/carbon fiber weave it should be. Many claim the Borla has too much drone. And the fact that they said it's chipped (which I don't think is possible). A salvage title is usually very hard on resale, but with a car this rare, you'd probably be okay. I would likely resell in 2 years (that's kind of my trend) so this was definitely a concern of mine. On the plus side, if it actually does have headers, that's a good 3k value in itself. I'm interested to see what you find out!

Have you looked at it? How much damage you think it took after that accident? They have mentioned that airbags and fenders got replaced, so it got hit probably pretty well.....

Would it be better to look into high miles direction instead of a salvage car?

Dont want to deal with the financing, and cash is kinda tough now...

Funny to see this pop up on the forum. I purchased the other ISF they had on their lot. When I saw the car it looked like the salesmen were using it as their personal joy ride car which was later confirmed by the manager.

I thought the rims looked kind of beat up and the pin stripe it had on it looks bad IMHO. I never test drove it, but between mine and this one I wouldn't have purchased that one even at 25k. The pictures in the ad are from a long time ago. I don't think it looks that good anymore.

Regarding the dealership they have been okay to work with, but I wasn't very impressed with their '160 point inspection' My car had a few things wrong with it including a small oil leak which they supposedly fixed. I am seeing oil leaking still so I really don't think they did anything about it. Thank heaven I bought an extended bumper to bumper warranty.

If you do buy from them get the warranty is all I can say.

i saw those two cars on their lot when buying mine as well. i called in, they are both salvaged. the one in the green, they said only had a bit of front end damage but all repaired. honestly, i dont believe it one bit. that snlehop is known for salavaged cars. its not worth paying that much for salvaged car. you can just save up a couple of more months and buy another one with a clean title. unless you are keeping the car the rest of your life, id pass

i would only buy a salvaged car if it was some beater like an old civic or small pick up truck y spend $30K on a salvaged ISF? too much electronics in this car that if they did not repair something correctly could end up being very costly to repair down the road.

Also just save your money and get something legit

Agree, it's a gamble spending that much money on somethin that has the potential to blow up in your face.

In my opinion, yes go for higher miles in better condition and a clean title. I would never buy a salvage car unless it was my 2nd car and something I intended to fiddle with on weekends. I would never have it be my DD.

For it to have a salvage titles means it either cost too much to repair and the insurance company threw in the towel, or there was structural damage. Either would be enough for me to stay away from it.

That's the cheapest ISF I've seen yet which is definitely tempting, but I think you will be putting more money in it down the road for random issues. If finances are tight just wait a bit for other/better cars to show up.

I'd buy a flood damaged F for a track car, but nothing else. Repaired with a salvage title? Not interested in the mystery issues these cars inevitably have.

even if i was looking for a track car, a 28k salvaged car is at the bottom of my list. lol. there is a market for salvaged car, dont get me wrong but 28k salvaged, the minute you buy it, it's not even worth that.

I wouldn't pay $28k for a salvage titled IS-F. I'd only buy a flood damaged one for less than $20k because (as long as it's straight) it doesn't need chassis work to put the wheels back where they should be. Weld in a cage and now we've got a straight and stiff chassis.
