So after being lowered on KW V3s and getting wider tires (235-F/275-R) I noticed a considerable increase in tramlining, especially at WOT while switching lanes.
i'm guessing that the tires might something to do with it, however, I also want to make sure that my alignment is not the culprit either.
Tramlining is pure tires. Some are worse than others, some are a LOT better than others.
that's my hunch....i just wanted to rule out any obvious serious alignment issues. Car has 2k miles so it also shouldn't be suspension component related. I don't hear any clunking....steering wheel feels tight
Any idea if this can occur if there is a very slight mismatch in the bump settings in the front 2 shocks on the KW's?
No, tramlining is a byproduct of the pattern cut in the tread. The more linear patterns tend to tramline where the patterns with lots of cross elements tend not to.
