Default Repair or Replace Front Bumper???

I'm driving on the freeway when the dummy in front of me decides to change lanes right over a piece of shredded tire and shot it right at my front bumper. Naturally, I had no where to go and the damage was done.

It cracked my front bumper in one spot and hit it pretty good in another. My clear bra was obviously damaged as well and has been removed.

Can this be repaired?

Am I better off getting a new stock bumper?

Should I go aftermarket like Wald or Toms?

I'm really debating going stock or aftermarket.

Most likely this will be an easy repair at a bodyshop and they may be able to spray that one area and blend it to match the rest of the f bumper.

However... this is a good excuse to go aftermarket.

I'm sorry to hear.... That always worries me. So far have not smacked the front of my ISF or my previous M3..... On my older car I did hit a parking block stop in my Charger SRT8..... It cost me 3k for a new one. If I can cover up with a front lip that would be an easy fix......

you should fill and use some USB touch up and then add the aftermarket lip which would cover that up pretty much.

I would try to repair that. Even if it doesn't come out perfect, I don't think it would be worth shelling out more money for a replacement. As far as I know, Artisan Spirits is the only aftermarket bumper replacement available. Every other company either has a front lip or partial bumper. But if you're already looking at aftermarket, you can't go wrong either way. Toms looks nice as a front lip, and WALD is flat out aggressive.

Best of luck my friend!

Given where the damage is, I definitely vote for repair rather than replace for sure. Or get a lip to cover it.

A new front bumper from Sewell is only $555.37 painted. See what your repair costs estimates will be and then decide.

how long have you had your car? I would just a small crack. Yea...it would drive me nuts, but it's at the bottom. Live with it, get a lip to hide it.

Or buy a brand new painted bumper...
