KW V3 question
Does anyone know If its possible to make a small incision in the carpet above the shocks and using a long Allen key feel and poke around until the key fits? It prolly sounds like ridiculous. Who knows I'm just trying to save time ripping the carpeting out.
Your supposed to leave the factory KW settings alone anyway unless you really know what your messing with. Most people who start messing with it wish they never did. I have never touched mine and its perfect as is.
It's a little soft for my liking....we'll see. If i decide to i'll just stiffen things up 1 setting all around. I found a pretty good description by a member on here.
The joy of dampening adjustable suspension
You're suppose to leave the settings alone when they're built to be adjustable? Adjustment is meant for advance users only.
some quick shots. Of course it's a very mild drop, more conservative to what I'm used to, but i used to bottom out way too much in Northern NJ/NYC.
the front passenger's side looks like it's a tad higher than the driver's but then again dropping it a bit will mess up the pricey corner weighting/alignment.
i also think thank it will look much better with a more aggressive offset set of wheels. It seems that the large wheel arches up front (from certain angles) eat up the current 19's. I'll prolly run Axis 5's that are on Joe Z's car.

I"m prolly just gonna pay for the realignment, on the other hand, i just dialed in a perfect rebound/compression ratio of:
Rebound: 5 clicks (front) 7 clicks (rear)
Compression: 2 sweeps (front) 3 sweeps (rear)
Highway stability is great and all around town driving is just a tad stiffer than OEM.

Since there are very few regular 2IS that have KW V3 and the back end of an IS-F is almost identical to the 2IS, how are you guys going about adjusting the rear compression/bump?
When I jack up the rear end of my car and go to adjust the rear compression, it seems to be blocked by the control arm. Should I take off the rear wheels to gain better access to the rear compression adjustments?
Are you guys just working around the control arm and trying to "feel" when the key fits into the compression hole? Or is there a special trick that I am missing.
