Put the stock headers back on - worst case scenario. Did they do a visual or a sniffer or just the OBD? Now I'm getting worried cuz I was about to do header install in the next couple of weeks.
In Texas, specifically the DFW area, emission testing is done by hooking up the OBD. Along with the emission test, there is a required safety inspection.

if that was the case he should have pass if it was just to be hooked up, unless he didn't install the sims...i think he failed sniffer test or they saw he had no cats. op please post more detail and good luck!

no need to put stock headers back, just put the stock exhaust back on and ur good to go.
Yep, would love to solve this w/ a benji handshake...I'll post up a pic in a bit of the results for specifics. The results sheet they gave me is like reading greek to me..
From what I can tell by reading the OBD Test Results is
O2 Sens "not ready"
O2 Sens Htr are "Not Ready"
EGR Sys is N/S
Heated Cat N/S
2nd Sys N/S
Air Cond N/S

FYI -from Texas Emissions Web Site:
Effective October 15, 2008:
For vehicles year model 2001 and newer, we allow one (1) non-continuous monitor to be Not Ready and still pass the test, but two (2) or more Not Ready's will cause the vehicle to fail.
Your o2 sensors are causing your problem...I have also been told to make sure your vehicle is up to temp and driven for a bit before getting the inspection. I have always followed this rule. Sometimes, this helps the Not Ready symptoms...
Thanks, my inspector guy said to drive it around and come back...fwiw, I tossed in two new o2 sensors on when i did the header install a few months ago and drove the car about 45 min b4 inspection. I'll swing by there again
thats weird because assuming you did the header install with new 02 sensors MONTHS ago, you should have the 02 sens and 02 sens htr ready by now.
after driving it more, stop by autozone or where ever that has a scanner to read the readiness status before heading to the inspection station. or if the inspector is cool with you, he can check the readiness status for you before doing the real inspection just to be sure there is one or none at the not ready status.
That way you aren't wasting your one free inspection (assuming you are within the allotted time frame to perform the inspection without charge)
