Default Condensation in headlights

The last thread with this topic was opened in 2010, before the 2011 headlights came out

I noticed condensation in the headlight assembly after driving in the rain for a few hours this past weekend, so it's time to take the F to the dealer for a free replacement.

For the 08-10 F's that have gotten headlights replaced under warranty... have you been successful in requesting the dealer to order the 2011/12 headlights instead and have them installed?

Yep, my passenger headlight had condensation and the dealer replaced it since it is still under warranty. You won't get the upgraded lights though.

VJ they can only replace it with what was originally on the car at the time you brought it in...I had a similar request with the new gauge cluster as the needle on the rpm gauge was dim or blown so I brought it in to get it replace and request it to be replaced with the new gauge cluster/dash. no luck as the manager came out and told me the reason above. now if u bought the new headlights and that had condensation they would replace it with the new headlights. but it doesn't hurt to try...I would recommend trying out a different dealer then the one we normally go to as your result will be like mines.

I had same issue on my 2009 ISF. I just took the back cover(s) off and drove it for a day or two (when it was not raining). The condensation went away and it has not come back.

I rarely drive in rain, however I don't want it to get worse. I could have sworn someone else on here was able to successfully get their dealer to order the 11/12 headlights.

I brought it up 8 months ago to my old dealership. The manager said they will not replace it unless they actaually see water in them. I called the Lexus Headquarter, they said they put it in the computer. If the headlight mulfunction in the future, they will take it into consideration.

^So I assume that if it's in the computer, even if I run out of the warranty period, they will still replace it?
