Default Got my new for me isf and got very lucky re the warranty!

Hey guys. I got my new for me isf today (traded in my Maserati). It's not quite as cool but it won't cause me nearly the same level of anxiety either. That said, before I bought the car, I called my local Lexus dealer to get the in service date to confirm that it was still under factory warranty and they told me that the in service date was October 2008 so I had a couple more months. So, because I'm a bit OCD, I figured I would call Jerry the warranty king, that this board speaks so highly of and start the process of getting the extended warranty now instead of waiting. Jerry told me that my car's new car warranty actually expired earlier this week (warranty began on 8/6/08, not 10/08 as I had been led to believe), but since it was so close and my car has so few miles, Lexus will give us a pass and let me buy it!!! Phew!!! The confusion was the date of first use vs. the date sold to a customer. It appears that my car was used by the original selling dealership and that they did something that started the clock running. Anyway, Jerry was completely confident that this wasn't an issue so assuming he is right, I am one lucky guy. I was thinking that I had until October so sometimes being a bit OCD can be super helpful!!!! Jerry rocks!!

I had the same experience w/ Jerry, I was a few months past my 4 year mark and he still made good on it.

You were able to get the new car warranty? That's awesome! Jerry's amazing. Heck the whole reason I traded the Maserati in on this was to have a car with a warranty and so Jerry is a lifesaver from that standpoint for me! I ended up buying a 4 year old car, saving a huge amount on it and have exactly the same warranty coverage as I would have had, had I bought new. That makes the frugal side of me happy.

Hey get this... The store I bought the f from told me that they could have sold me a warranty for the Maserati... 2 years or 24k miles for........ $9,000!!!!!!! What a deal, huh? Yeah, I'm driving the f.

Wow, I should look in to this since I'm still in warranty, good to know. Congrats on the new car! That Maserati sounds like it was a wallet eater

same thing happened to me.. I thought I had till may but the new car warranty had expired. I was still
able to get a lexus platinum warranty because of low mileage.

I would very much enjoy pics of both cars.

I've only ever come across 1 other Maserati owner and they honestly didn't seem to care what they were driving at all.

I would love to hear about your comparisons between the Mas and the ISF.
