vs ISF with headers, exhaust? Looks to be similar numbers for performance times... I had one egg me on today, just curious. Not bench racing... just curious... Man did it sound good when he was getting on it!

 

I raced SRT8 300 and beat him with my bone stock F . I think challenger is even heavier than 300 .

 

If you have headers and exhaust, as long as you can hook up, you could smoke a stock 392 Challenger at every measurable performance test. I imagine they have a much harder time hooking up with that much power and the thin tires they keep putting on em. I think I have seen reports though of those going as fast as 12.6 or maybe even faster in completely stock form, so it would definitely be no walk in the park. It is a heavy pig, but a pig with *****.

Haha he speaks the truth. I do like the challenger compared to other newer body muscle cars though

 

you will walk a srt8 from a roll no problem in stock form. new or old, they are still a big boat.

 

The new 300 SRT8 has a listed curb weight of 4365 while the Challenger SRT8 is listed at 4160 with an automatic. Based purely on power to weight ratio the Challenger is carrying less pounds per hp than the IS-F.

It appears that the Challenger SRT8 comes with narrow 245/45 20s from the factory which won't help the car out of the hole. I imagine with better tires the stock Challenger would be pretty quick in a stop light drag race.

Challenger is a nice looking car with some grunt, however they are VERY heavy (based on Charger/300C platform)

 

OP, the F has the better transmission and good gearing vs the old 5-speed in the SRT (albeit it can handle massive power), not to mention has a much lighter curb weight. The 6.1L Hemi put out 425hp and 425lbft

New ones are 470 hp/470 torque. It's a drivers race but with headers and exhaust, you should walk him.
