My car is in the shop until saturday, ill take close up pictures of it then. There are small gaps at the tops like evil teo mentioned but i think it can be fixed easily with double sided tape...

i always wondered how all of the carbon fiber parts would look on an Obsidian F. Definitely interested in this now.

i tried that too but it comes off. I will try later down the road but I think u need to apply the tape and have something to apply pressure on it for a long time.

I think the real way to fix it is to drill through the carbon fiber and the bumber at the top corner where the gap is. Using a really small screw with a flat head, and a recessed bit, you should be able to do it. The only trick is cf wrapping the screw head so its blends in..

As promised I took close up pics of the wald diffuser fitment. I have to admit that i ended up taking it off and re-doing it with 3M double sided tape. Its actually called 3M Acrylic Foam Tape. This stuff is the bomb--it'll take the paint of your car. Its holding my diffuser on soo well.. Here are the pics...

I will take a picture of the gaps we are referring too so that eveyone can see. Staman let us know how that tape is holding up and if anything changes.

There is a higher end 3M double sided tape that is almost permanent, also you could buy adhesive promoter and wipe down the areas first and it will make the bond that much stronger.

I'll try that when it gets a little bit warmer outside. I did clean the area with my quick detailer though. Will use adhesive promoter and the stuff Staman used. We will see.

Its been one week and the tape is still holding perfectly. I actually cleaned both surfaces, the diffuser and the bumper, with isopropyl alcohol before i applied the tape. You might have trouble finding that tape... I bugged my auto body shop guys to give it to me..

Earlier this week I received my Wald Diffuser in for my 2012 IS F. I'm planning on installing it this wked so I'm happy I came across all this good advice on removing the bumper first. Last wked I changed out the hood and replaced it with a CF one. I’m new to the site so when I figure out how to load pics I will.

Thanks Staman!
