Default iPod left plugged into USB

Can anyone tell me if you would suffer any battery drain if you left an iPod plugged into the 2010 USB / Aux armrest sockets of the car?

Don't want to keep taking it in and out so would just want to leave it plugged in but worried it might drain the battery whilst car is turned off.

Thanks, what about not bothering to turn it off though? It will go into a sleep mode but if there is still live feed to the USB socket it will draw power.

mine doesn't drain the battery and its plugged in 24/7. You will be fine. And i would'nt think lexus will let an iphone drain a huge battery. I left the inside car dome light on overnight and it still turned on. Plus if your battery is starting to drain its covered under warranty.

I leave my iPod plugged all the time in the USB socket, no problem so far and I doubt it will cause a problem in the future.
