The 2011 ISF goes 0-60 in 4.2 sec compared to 4.8 for the 2008. So technically, the 2011 should be able to beat the M3 and keep up with the M5 without any mods.

That explains a lot, I wondered why my IS-F threw me back into my seat even more than my 335 coupe with a Procede chip.

The 2008 was tested by Road and Track at 4.2. Another magazine, I could not remember tested a low mileage 2011 at 4.8. I think it depends on the driver, conditions and other factors.

Correction to above, Car and Driver tested the 2011 0-60 at 4.7 and 13.1 quartermile. They tested the 2008 at 4.4 and 12.8 respectively. So one model year is not faster than the other in a straight line.

A stock M5 0-60mph is not its best. After 60mph and into triple digit speeds, you may think you have a V6 on the F. Don't ask how I know.

08/09s are faster than 10/11 0-60... based on experience. Guess the new so called Torsen f***ed things up.
