I hate Lexus's attorney's opinions. No nav override, the stupid accelerator and brake thing - the list goes on and I've seen it across Toyota's entire line for years. They're super risk averse.

My dealer has called me three times asking me to come in for the retrofit. On each occasion I have politely said I refuse the recall notice. Apparently they are having trouble understanding the message.

Just press and hold. There's nothing to program. As long as you hold it down it will open. If you release early, the windows will stop wherever they are.

Doesn't work on mine. I read the owners manual and it said thats a special thing that you need the dealer to do.

Does anybody have the know-how to programing this?

Thx

You have to bring it in... It part of the LPS set up.

Requires Lexus Techstream Laptop

Lobux, looks like Lexus Lawyers changed these Standard feature to:

"The windows will not roll down"
"The moonroof will not open"

Maybe sometime back in MY 2010...

I just compared both old & new LPS pdf files.

Agreed... Just got my ISF but haven't tried the roll down option but I did have it on my IS350.

If your IS-F is a 2008-2009 your fine...

If it's a 2010-2012, then you will have to have the dealer set the LPS setting to your liking

Thanks Joe. My IS350 was a 2007 and my ISF is a 2008. Won't be able to try it till I get the car back from the dealership. It was a trade-in and I bought it. Think I paid a little too much for it but it was the pearl white and the body was clean with the exception of one paint chip in the rear driverside quarter panel. Literally have had the car for 4 days since 8/12 and the rest of the time it's been at the dealership trying to get stuff warrantied like the cat and dash vent and just found out they are replacing the intake manifold lol. Appealing their call on the dash so we'll see how much longer.

I wonder why the LX570 has remote start as an available dealer installed option in the U.S. I don't see anything unique about that vehicle vs the rest of the Lexus line-up that would cause the lawyers to have a different view.

yea, U.S. is lame...I guess our country does realize that it is full of idiots that would stick their hands in the windows as someone is rolling them up. At least they are looking out for some of us.....you know who you are ; )

WELL, even if you guys do have remote start option, car turns off as soon as you open the door.. pretty stupid if you ask me....
