Default Weather question

HOW DOES THE IS-F PREFORM IN THE SNOW SINCE ITS RWD? the reason i asked is because alot of cars that come with RWD suck in the snow

Don't look for great results but good winter tires would make all the difference. Some people have a set of rims and tires just for winter and that is what I would do if I still lived in Pa.

There are owners that have driven in the snow with dedicated snow tires. I personally wouldn't want the salt and sand on my F. I have a 4WD vehicle for winter months.

since ur in PA get michelins xice, very good in the snow and ice. i am planning to get those next after i wear out my bridgestone blizzaks. plus they are a little cheaper then the blizzaks. i am happy with my blizzaks so far. people would ask me how does the F handle in the snow all the time and wat tires i use. well they are blizzaks lm 60 and i drive my car daily in the winter with no problems. just drive in snow mode on and ur good to go.

i really appreciate everybody's quick feedback because i was really starting to go in doubt about weather getting this vehicle or the rx350AWD since it gets real nasty here when it snows.

but how much are the blizzaks and 60 huh i definitely have to give u kudos because i really dont see many driving these beast especially in the snow lol.. but thank you for the advice

Don't attempt to get through a Pa. winter with all season tires. Find the smallest rims that will clear the brakes and get a set of four snow tires. Some snows are better than others but all snows are better than all season tires.

In the old days, all cars were RWD and we all survived.

I just drive my beater when it snows in Seattle (which rarely happens). I never drive my nice cars in adverse weather conditions.

Yup, get the narrowest snow tires you can stand to look at and you'll be OK except in the deep stuff. I ran blizzacks last winter 225/255 and the rears were too wide for good traction. Better would be 225s all around, but during the dry periods, the car would look emasculated.

thug,

You can get instant answers with no waiting if you use the forum search before posting your questions

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php

Example:
I put 'snow' in the keyword field, selected 'search in title only' and then pointed at the IS-F forum
