^^^ You only need the race cats to pass inspection if you have sikky or ppe headers too, with stock headers you will pass with Joe Z no problems. You special order the exhaust through JE then they properly expand and tig weld two Random Technology 100 cell race cats in to the seamless X-pipe. There is no power loss, you pass inspection with race headers, no fuel smell with race headers, and no drone at all. Probably ends up being around $2400 all said and done but if you plan to do headers and drive the car a lot you will thank yourself for spending the extra money... No headaches, no girlfriend/wife B****ing, no fuel smell in the garage & no problems at the inspection station.
- They can also install the cats in an exhaust already on your vehicle.

I edited one word in my response. You're right of course. It also depends on who the inspector is and his or her knowledge or lack thereof and on what side of the bed they got up on that morning.
I just bought mine the other day from Clark at VIP - highly recommend them. Great guy. I also bought my front and rear centric rotors, as well as my Bobcat 1521's from him.
I stole mine from a guy selling his IS-F for $750 and he only had it about a month lol..Sometimes you get lucky! Even if I didn't find one used I was buying a new one lol
