Coin Tray Alteration
I recently rented an ES350 and found a neat little coin tray in the armrest - I'm not sure if the IS F had one originally? So if it did, its just a new discovery for me.
I was getting tired of fumbling through my cars junk drawer so I borrowed it and fit it into the IS F by turning it sideways. It fits tight, but still allows sliding action of the armrest no no interference.
I do not know the part number, but it works awesome and I always can find my insurance and driving range membership card when I need them!
It will also make a good iPod holder etc....
Someone closer to a Lexus dealer may be able to provide the part number and costs

Note to self: get an ES350 as a loaner at next service and borrow coin tray. Seriously though, good information. I've always liked how Toyota/Lexus makes items that can be easily exchanged or used between models.

From: Under an IS F since 2008
We just would have to move it out of the way if you need something under it..

If you're really ****, then I suppose a dremel grind on the edges would help, but I really didn't want to put that kind of effort into it.
I also obtained the cup holder insert from a 2011 IS250 and it is a perfect fit inside of the box to the already molded ribs on the sides. Again not sure if the 2008 came with this originally - you can see it beside the cell phone charger cable in this picture.

This is a nice find, but I don't think I'd pay 30 bucks for a plastic tray only to have it block access to the rest of my stuff in there. Seems like a hassle to keep moving it around to get to your stuff. Perhaps an alternative is to make a plastic divider so you can compartmentalize the area into smaller boxes.
Oh.. I didn't notice that. Yea the 2008s came with a cup holder in there with ambient lighting. You guys don't have it stock?? That's weird that they'd REMOVE a feature. Did they add a second cupholder elsewhere?
