Wheel Touch Up Paint from Sewell

I'm thinking of getting this, is there any special procedure I need to go through to apply this paint to my wheels, or can I just touch them up? This is what I plan to do:
1. Clean all brake dust off wheels meticulously
2. Park in shade
3. Apply 1 coat of paint to wheels, wait for them to dry
4. Apply 2nd coat, wait to dry

Looks like you need to work on cleaning up the brake dust residue that shows in that pic. Paint will not adhere well on that.

I did thoroughly clean the wheels before I applied any touch up paint. I did this on Saturday and have driven the car everyday since then so therefore you will see brake dust accumulation. I think that I may have some bad TU paint or something because it should not look like this.

I really don't know what it could be. I was finally happy to get some touch up paint because of that large chip in my wheel finish and this is what I get. Is there a possible different wheel finish for 2008 model year? Mine was built in Jan 08. I bought the touch up paint at a Toyota dealership since the Lexus dealer did not have any.
Same paint code and all, but is should not matter...or should it?

^^ Looks a little too much on the Silverish side...
Not too sure what it could be..
It should be a Dark Gray similar to 1G0 - Smoky Granite Mica
Maybe some of the other memmbers can post pics of their "touch up" results...

Unfortunately there is no official Lexus paint code for the wheels. Ive brought this to the attn of my contacts at corp and they confirmed there is no official paint code or touch up for the wheels sadly. 1E3 seems to be the closest.

I bought the Duplicolor version for 7$ at Advanced Auto Parts and touched up mine. It was ok I guess, but I had about an inch scrape. I'll take pictures and post the next time I wash it up, which should only be a few days.
To kingskrs...you might have just got a bad bottle of touch paint? I don't know.
