If I were you I would write Lexus Corp. a letter and let them know how this dealership is treating a returning customer. Won't bode well for the owner of that franchise and I bet it won't happen again.

Yes Page 286 (2008 Manual) in the Do-it-yourself-maintenance section not to be confused with the "Call Lexus and do it for me section"

That may change real soon when I'm up for another vehicle. Anyone with a simple solution?
Depends on the year and make. I have a 2007 ES350 that reads "Oil Maintanence Required".
Here is what I did to reset it:

Start the car or do whatever you need to do to put the odometer on "Trip A".

Shut off the car.
Hold down the trip button and push the start button TWICE...WITHOUT your foot on the brake, (we do not want to start the car.) You should see the notice go away and go to a normal reading. Start the car to make sure it is gone. That should do it. Good luck.

Is it just the lighting or does the Speedo Needle look like it's only half lit in blue?

I had that problem a year ago, my RPM needle was half lit blue. I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the whole instrument cluster under warranty.

I think it is just shadow lighting - every time Joe waves his hand (background) by the needle, it goes away.

If you dont have time to look at your paper copy of your owners manual. Its also online in PDF format. Very easy to search.

Necro thread revival...but I have a question as mine popped on tonight and was solid and couldn't be cleared until I did the reset method. My question is what are the criteria for this light coming on? Is it miles based or time based? I know we don't have any sensor that can tell the quality of the oil so....🤷‍♂️

Pure mileage. 5,000 miles and the light comes on solid.
