Anyone install the Passport MAX?

 

I'd love something like this for the V1. The eBay listing doesn't state that it is V1 compatible. Is it just too bulky to fit above the rear-view mirror?

 

It does look a bit bulkier than the 8500x50, and I'm not sure anything more bulky would work considering I can barely get my mirror high enough to see...it fits perfectly, but without some secret way of sliding the mirror lower or something else I don't know about to adjust it, there's JUST enough room for the passport to fit up there.

 

Im about to install this weekend. But I will do it with a Escort 9500ix windshield mount that I filed down. I'll post pics later.

 

I second that motion. May want to wait a few more weeks/months, version 10 is in the works.
