I think any aftermarket exhaust tips would need a proper shroud made to hide the empty space sorta like what the stock setup does with the black mesh grill. This gives it a finished look. If you just leave it open it looks like a hack job.

I like what you did. But I still think I like my stock tips the best with the Joe Z

It's different and I like different .

Did you open up another outlet on the joez muffler? Or from the 1 outlet into a small Y to the Borla tips>

If I remember correctly it was once stated that the factory exhaust tips/diffuser were there for aerodynamic purposes. (How true that statement is however, is another monster all together)

It allows the exhaust gases, plus exiting airflow from underneath the car to flow out of the diffuser / collectors...

Based on our center exit muffler design, that is HIGHLY unlikely..
