hey guys am trying to get into that hidden menu on my 08 isf, but going into the menu, volume and touch the screen left up , left down a couple of times doesnt work on my car!

is there something wrong with my car or its a different way done on the F?

i have a problem my airbag light on the F cluster went on for some reason. i think its because i hit a hole while i was driving back home. now i tried shutting the engine off and on and even disconnected the battery for 30mins and didnt go away. the only way i think i could reset it is to enter that hidden menu i read about on this forum, but i tried to enter menu/volume and touch the top left and bottom left a couple of times and nothing showed up!

how can i make that menu appear on the F?

 

only works on gen 4 systems. you have gen 5

no need to triple post. as mentioned in your thread in the 3GS forum, the "finger tap dance" only works on gen 4 systems and you have gen 5. take it back to lexus, im sure its still under warranty unless your over 50K miles

 

You can't reset the Airbag light by simply disconnecting the battery. The computer is sending an error code to the system which is causing your airbag light to go on. You can't reset it without plugging it into Toyota's techstream scan tool. You need to visit your local Lexus dealer to do so.

 

dont have warranty since its an import

 

since the vehicle is an import i know the dealer here wont touch my vehicle since its one of their rules not to perform maintenance on import vehicle or even diagnose it either. so i was hoping i can do it myself. would a normal scanner do the trick? cause i could borrow my friends, but am not sure if the airbag and engine ecu shares the same OBDII port does it? or the airbag ecu uses a different location port?

All you have to do is hit the display button and perform the finger tap on the left inner corners...

Still won't be able to clear any airbag codes..

even for the 5th gen system? I was pretty sure that it does not work on the 5th gen system (atleast in the GS it does not).

 

Worked on my 08 IS350 and works just like that on my 08 IS-F....

... exactly as shown in the Video. (ironically on a GS450 h )

Yeah, but there are a LOT more menus he didn't show.
