Default How many miles after "0 MILES" have you gone?

I think I remember the 2IS guys say they've gone as high as 50 miles after the range meter shows "0 miles" remaining. But if I recall properly that's mostly highway miles and obviously their engines are not as thirsty as ours.

So what's the most you've gone after it reads 0? The most I've gone is 35km (22 miles) of mixed city/highway driving but I'm not adventurous enough to go more. How much more have you done?

about 25 miles. i knew it had a tiny bit remaining in reserve, but definitely had to get gas when it was easily seen on the freeway.

Funny. This happened yesterday. Totally wasn't paying attention. Couldn't find gas station for the life of me. Went 18+ miles, scared ****less. I kept swerving left/right trying to keep fuel moving to it could be pumped. Probably overkill, but I didn't want to risk anything. I laughed when I finally found gas station. It was the same feeling you get when you have to **** and can't find a spot.

A little OT, but what kind of fuel mileage do you guys get from highway cruising? (Not from the computer, but calculated)

I have done approx 50 with the F.... all FWY
Not recommended and it wasn't fun feathering the gas pedal.. LoL

I was also at a track event once, well below empty and when I was pulling G's, fuel was cutting off ..

For what it's worth ladies and gentleman, I have NEVER seen a car that was accurate to the proverbial "T". Remember there are ALWAYS going to be air pockets in the fuel tank due to their design/shape. The stated amount and the fill-able amount are therefore two completely different numbers. Maybe not by a significant amount, but by something indeed. Please also remember that a float (the device inside your fuel tank used to measure the quantity of fuel) in a fuel tank is NOT that precise an instrument, nor is the potentiometer it is connected too.

I've gone 20+ miles past Zero and I can never seem to get more than 16 gallons of gas in. Isn't our tank 17+ gallons?
