Monetary issues aside. I would trade my 2008 for a 2010, mostly for LSD and Suspension changes.

I was in this position 2 weeks ago, deciding whether to get an 11', 08 e92, but couldn't pass up the deal I got for my 08'.

No, the suspension doesn't bother me, and given the losses in trade-in plus purchasing a 2011, I feel you can go aftermarket for a more adjustable suspension, anyway.

I think I'm going to wait until someone totals an '11, then buy the entire rear subframe with differential and be all set. I couldn't care less about the shocks - I'll be doing something completely different for this part of the problem anyway.
