Default Why just 3 interior colors

OK, I'll post to this forum as well...this is really a rant. I occasionally check
out the M3 forums to see how the M3 is holding up ;-)) But, why the hell can't Lexus offer more than three colors for the IS-F??? Meanwhile the M3 has what..EIGHT INTERIOR COLORS? I mean my god. It's almost as if Lexus said "alright alright..we'll give you Terra Cotta..BUT WE'll ONLY DO THE BOLSTER AND THREE INCHES ON THE STEERING WHEEL". Honestly, I love the IS-F but having an option of...I don't know a RED or GREY interior...or heaven forbid a saddle color.......is there a dye shortage in Japan

For all I care every car should be offered with just one interior color choice: BLACK!

MOved...
It takes time. The original M3 didn't offer 8 colors. Lexus is actually very BOLD to offer white as they are usually very conservative.

No problem, I think we would all like to see Lexus continue to offer more colors.

In Japan this is now available so hopefully it comes here.

I'm guessing that it's based partly on production costs. The ISF is a 1st-gen low-volume car - it's probably expensive for Lexus to modify their manufacturing to offer several different interiors at the outset.

Doesn't the LFA have a pretty wide range of color choices? Then again, the car is a lot more expensive
