An IS F specific part number is not the same as an IS F specific part as you know. The pads were designed to fit a specific caliper, not a specific car. As mentioned previously the number of IS F's are quite few when compared to the other cars that use the same Brembo caliper that do require the sensor.

It's a case of economics. They were made to correctly fit a car with or without the sensor and work well whether you require the sensor or not. The performance of the pad is not affected either way.

Your preference for a pad that does not have provisions for the sensor has been noted though

Awesome Vraa..I got my set yesterday..I tried to scratch and sand the teal color off, but it's too much effort for something I rarely stare at..I am happy if the pads just reduces the dust with the same OEM performance.

just got mines for the rear. question for those who are replacing the pads. my rotors are still good. went to the shop and had it measure for 29mm when I was swapping tires. i looked on the forum and some people are resurfacing the rotors or turn them? im not sure how much it usually cost and should I do it too before I slap on these pads?

oh and thank you Chops for keeping me updated.

They should be replaced or reused as is. Mine were installed on my used stock rotors and have been on the car for over a year and 10'000 plus miles without issue. As long as the rotors are still within factory thickness and have no stress cracks etc. you should be able to reuse them.

Stress cracks are OK as long as they don't exceed 30mm in total length. Put the pads in and run them, don't ruin the discs by turning them.

Just to clarify, will there be any issues if I only replace my OEM front pads with the Project Mu pads...leaving the rear stock pads in place? Reason I ask is because the dealer recently replaced my rear pads and rotors under one of the Lexus service bulletins (i.e. only around 1500 miles ago) so the rears don't need replacing yet. Not sure if there would be any issues involving brake bias, etc. Thanks.

No issues. Remove the old pads and install the PMU's and enjoy less brake dust.

Good timing on whoever brought this thread to the top. I was just about to start looking for some pads, looks like the work is already done!

Replacing fronts only will not cause you any issues.
