There is your problem!

Here is the way to do it to have accurate, reproducible and long lasting results:
- with stock intake:
- reset ECU
- drive a week (your usual routine)
- dyno the car
- install the injen
- reset ECU
- drive a week (same usual routine)
- dyno the car (same dyno, same time of day)
- compare...

the car will get dyno'ed several times through out the week and month. I have several other parts going on and it will be at the shop so we will do more then one run. the other parts will not affect the the dyno runs just some drivetrain and suspension parts.

Yes should have it today and I will try to do some Gtech testing. Then install and dyno in a week and more gtech testing. back to back intake tests are pretty much worthless since you do not get the LT fuel trim information and compensation. I will also have video and sound clips.

Will you also be performing the same test with the Takeda intake?

Yessir. I am getting both and will to a time separated dyno for each application with valid real world data.

I am in the process of uploading a video of the Takeda. It should sound similar to the Injen.

I can think of a few reasons why the Takeda is higher priced.

1. Sheetmetal the interfaces to the airbox is more elaborate and thicker. There is more welding and material.
2. There is more welding in the Takeda. The step up is actually welded whereas the Injen is a formed interface on both ends.
3.The Injen uses a Amsoil airfilter which may be lower cost because it is made in higher volume.
4. The Takeda looks to have at least one custom molded silicone coupler. They most likely have to make back their NRE.
