Yeah the BlendMount kit has 2 part numbers, a BV1 & BV1-HINGE. Thanks for the clarification on what you have.

You want the one with the hinge it make it MUCH more easy to adjust the radar detector independently from the mirror.

I can adjust my mount independently from the mirror as well - IMO the hinge for the mount is unnecessary on the 2IS because the stem is adjustable independently from the actual mirror.

There are 3 different products listerd here ( I was confused at first too) I ordered mine (the one shown by Javier) from the email address listed MIKE3348@roadrunner.com for $32 shipped and I should have it soon.

The BlendMount kit was a bit more expensive at $49 not including shipping, and I didn't like how the Stationary Z Mount sold on the countryjoycrafts site positioned the radar detector ahead of the rear view mirror in the pics they have on their site.

IMO I felt that the mount I ordered did what the basic BV1 BlendMount kit did at a lower price and had good reviews by a few members on here.

You ISF guys tend to be ahead of everyone on the forum on this kind of stuff, but very rarely us GS460 guys get to show off. Check this out.

My Car - 2008 GS460. Laser Interceptor Quad- the most powerful laser jammer with actual laser diode that block any laser gun at any distance (I tested it with a friend who owns laser guns). Protects front and back - police laser gets no speed reading. In addition, Passport 9500ci system provides radar protection, warnings of speed cameras, locks out false alerts so you know its a real threat not a door sensor, and provides voice warnings for both radar and laser.

Laser systems like mine are critical since in major metropolitan areas it is a more common threat than radar.

9500ci display shows warnings for both laser and radar in the rear view mirror. There is also a voice announcement telling you what's going on.

9500ci and Laser interceptor controls mounted in the closing coin pocket.

Green LED above speedo also flashes red if radar or laser is picked up.

Passport 9500ci radar receiver in center of lower airdamn, and Laser Interceptor sensors in both the corners. Passport laser sensors in the upper grille.

2 rear Laser Interceptors above the plate.

He's still in business because I just got my mount from him last week and he was quick to respond to my emails. In fact there was some hardware missing and he promptly emailed me back on Friday and shipped them to me on Saturday.

He makes a mount for the V1 for $32 shipped and one for the Escort/Bel for $22 via USPS. Good luck.

for those of you who picked up from Blendmount,
did you all pay 79 bucks for the mount???
in that case, the one that Javy uses seems better

I have Escort 9500xi, so I hope the place where Javy it got his from makes it for Escort also

where did you guys get the wire to tap it onto the rear view mirror?

thanks in advance

Ken

u can use your phone line, just dont use the black and yellow wire and cut to 8 inches with the phone jack on it, tap onto your rear viewmirror, so on the phone line u have green and red..., red will go into orange in the viewmirror wire, and green go to blue mirror wire... its simple but careful and take your time when u do it, i'm still waiting for Mike to respond, for escort device its 22$ shipped....
