2010 ISF order date?
I was just wondering if any of you know when you will be able to go to a dealer and order a 2010 ISF. The reason I ask is because I would like to get a 2010 for the LSD and still be able to purchase inside of 2009 for the sales tax benifits
Thanks to all in advance

At least here in Sacramento I can place an order now, but was told they are not taking delivery on them until November. If I remember right he mention the beginning of the month. I too myself am looking to buying one this year for the tax break, not to mention the nice changes they made to the 2010.(I love the new wheels)
you might want to read up on the sales tax deduction. I'm reasonably sure it is for new cars that sell for less than $49,999. You might be able to prorate, but I doubt it - since owning an IS-F makes you "rich" and therefore you will take it where it counts.
Hopefully I'm wrong.

Actually per the IRS website in the FAQ's section related to this deduction it specfically answers this questions.
Per the IRS website:
Q. If I purchase a really expensive car, can I deduct the entire amount of state and local sales taxes paid on the vehicle?
A. No, only state and local sales taxes paid on up to $49,500 of the purchase price of a qualifying vehicle are deductible. (must be a passenger vechile and weight of less than 8,500)
This leads me to beleive that you are able to deduct the taxes on the purchase up to the $49,500 and any taxes after that are not deductable.

Hope this helps a few out here thinking about getting a 2010 in 2009. Of course I would also suggest talking with a tax accountant about this, since I am not one my self

a little bit off topic, but it is still a little bit connected >>> Do anyone think that it will be possible to instal original LSD from 2010 IS-F to first edition IS-F? I mean, that it wont conflict with any electronics and it will be like bolt on?
I an isf you are right, you get to claim up to 49,500 of the purchase price, even if you went out and bought a ferrari. You can also buy as many cars as you want as well, not limited to just one or two cars. Each getting their own up to 49,500 limit. I plan to use the credit myself too, looking forward to the $4,100 tax write off from it. I doubled checked with Lexus of Sacramento and they said any pre-order's/show room car will be delivered on the 10th of November. At least that is the scheduled date for it.
To be honest with you I wouldn't wait on the 2010 just for the LSD. The current one (2008-2009) has an electronic LSD associated with the vehicle's VDIM. I honestly do not believe you will notice a difference between the electronic and mechanical LSD unless you are going to do some very extensive tracking.
