How many miles?
I believe it's just oil change, check brakes, filters change.
Whenever I call the dealer they list all these "inspect this inspect that inspect this" and the total comes out to a thousand bucks or something
The only things they really change are oil and filter though -- I must be missing something

I'd have to check, but I thought the owner's manual lists all the maintenance items at each interval?

Here's the guide. It's available from Lexus owner's website (click the owners link at www.lexus.com and either login or register.) See page 49 for the 15k mile inspections and service.

Here is the General Maintenance and Regular Use guide...

If you this regularly, you could be saving a ton of money.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND REGULAR USE MAINTENANCE

In addition to scheduled maintenance, your Lexus requires ongoing general
maintenance such as fluid checks and visual inspections. The recommended
guidelines for inspections are listed below. Please refer to the “Maintenance”
section of the Owner’s Manual for a detailed description of inspection procedures.

When Refueling

When refueling, perform these inspections:
• Check engine oil level using the dipstick
• Visually check engine coolant level on the see-through reservoir (under cover)
• Visually check brake fluid level on the see-through reservoir
• Visually check power steering fluid level on the see-through reservoir (under cover)
• Visually check condition of battery (under cover)
• Check level of windshield washer fluid

Every 30 Days

At least once every 30 days, perform these inspections:
• Check tire pressure
• Check tires for damage and wear

Hey I just had my 10k service and I was totally stunned by Lexus. They did the oil and stuff but then told me my front brake pads and rotors needed to be changed. The brakes and rotors were $1300 w/ labor and then the other serviced along with the 5 star detail cost me $1878 out the door. Let me fisrt say if you had your car for 10k miles or more and have swirlies and fine scratches, do the 5 star detail, and the car looks brand new again. Other than that I was able to utilize the tire and wheel package I bought for $2500K at buying time. I got my front tires changed free of charge(cost $1000), and olny had to pay $50 per tire. So anyguys with the tire package, it is legit!

They did the first two, I'm taking it from here. I take it Lexus is no different in that so long as I can show within reason that all regular maintenance has been performed, no warranty issues should occur?

I passed up on that warranty package.. LoL

My rims & tires still have 50 miles..

Honestly, sounds worth it if you want PS2's for liftetime and maybe ever have some sort of wheel damage covered by the warranty fine print.

My F came with the Bridgestone Potenzas and they seemed rough. So I requested the PS2's and they got em' for me. So now I'm running PS2 in the front and Potenzas in the back LOL. Of course until the next service when they change out the back to the PS2's. IMO the PS2's definitley seem a lot better than the Potenzas.

How did you wear out your fronts in 10k, but the rears are still good?

Also, I did the 10k service on my F right before selling it and it was just shy of $200 which included Mobile 1. I didn't opt for any special detailing, but it still sounds like you paid a huge premium.
