Since we're talking front pads here...after my track day, it's pretty obvious the rotors got extra hot. Every hole has a small crack associated with it. I cleaned out the holes with a round brush after I got home and interestingly enough, I've not had them fill up again, and I've not had any significant dust problem with my front brakes (or rear for that matter). I'm beginning to believe the stock brakes don't have dusty pads, but the rotors are wearing like butter and creating the dust. After my track day the rotors were obviously harder than stock from all the heat cycles. They've since polished up with the stock pads and now look really nice (except for the cracks) and the dust issues are non-existent. I just washed the car again today after a 2000 mile road trip, and there was very little dust despite the OEM pads, so I really think the OEM pads are super abrasive and are coating the wheels with cast iron, not pad material.

The Ferodo DS2500 is an organic performance pad, it is not a ceramic.
