yup. to me that's a point of diminishing return. unless it's a full weekend car and you only drive out for "cool" effect (like exotics), it's totally not worth it. any droppings, water marks, etc... and you are done. paint you can detail to retore condition, clear bra, you can't really
Ok guys, well I got the full hood done, but unfortunately the installer had some problems and was unable to get it looking 100%. It's got some really visible groups of spots near the front of the hood. I'll take some pictures soon, but now I'm not so sure what to do.
The guy didn't charge me for the hood, and he said if I'm not happy with it, he will remove it and do partial hood for free, but he won't try the full hood again. He said it was too difficult.
No one else in AZ (that I can find) will do full hood, and since I don't wanna drive out to LA to visit Aerotect right now, it looks like my options are to either leave the hood as is, which has the benefit of full protection, but visible bubbles/marks, or have the partial bra applied and risk getting some rock chips up on the top area.

The IS-F hood is one of the tougher hoods to get down correctly. rominl made a good point in that if you have a partial hood bra, it will likely chip beyond the halfway point. Eventually you will need to get the hood repainted due to chipping beyond the coverage. In the meantime, just leave it until you could find someone capable of installing it without the distortions.
