Question JIC coilover owners HOLLA @ me!

I know there are a few JIC owners besides myself. Curious to know exactly where you have your stiffness rating set on. Haven't played around with it too much but was recently driving them full stiff (15 clicks) on the front & rear. Was riding like that for a while, but it got to be unbearable after a while. Right now I have them set on 11 clicks on the rear and 14 clicks up front. I need to be that stiff up front I think because otherwise my wheel goes up into the fender lining on dips and stuff. Chime in. Another question, does the stiffness have to be the same front and rear? Or lets say is it okay to have it stiffer up front then the rear? What is typically the correct way of setting them up?

-P.S- My cars ride height currently:

to my knowledge JIC prefers the Full stiffness setting not be used on streets due to valve damage. If you want them stiffer run a dif spring with tighter valving to prevent shock blowout.

I have been riding with mine set on full stiff for a while now. I feel that even at the stiffest the car is still not as "violent" as stock. The wheel rebound is much more compliant and I don't mind it being that stiff. Why haven't I gone to a softer setting? I think maybe I just feel more confident with the suspension knowing exactly what it is going to give back when I need it to.

I didn't lower the rears, they are how they sat out of the box. The fronts were lowered 1/2" lower than how they sat out of the box. With that said, I don't think I have any crazy camber issues, atleast at first glance. Your ride looks great!

You have it set just fine, stiff in the font, tad bit softer in rear.

should go with a better spring rate and a shock that is made to take that stiffness of the spring. The shock should never be on the stiffest setting even at the track. The JIC set up is more for comfort and lowering. Your warranty maybe affected if shock blows due to stiffest setting being used on a public streets. Just and FYI.

Aright well lets not hope I have a blown shock or anything like that. Was riding on full stiff for a couple weeks I'd say. Finally the ride got too rough, and I lowered stiffness today. Rides noticeably better at where I'm at right now. Dunno why I had it on full stiff in the rear.

I run between 4-7 on my setup. I normally have the rear a little (1-2 clicks) stiffer than the front otherwise the car seems (to me) out of "balance".. I cross a handful (literally) of train tracks every day to/from work so you actually get a pretty good idea of the suspension feel (front vs rear) when going over the tracks.

My current ride height:

^ What stiffness are you running currently exactly front and rear? You said 4-7? If you were starting at 0, how many clicks stiffer did you go? Front and rear please..

Yeah so today I mess with it and now have it set on 2 clicks from stiffest in the front and 3 clicks from stiffest in the rear. Rides nice I'd say.
