The reason we went with 245/40/18 is because it's close to the stock size but just a tad shorter which equals quicker acceleration without incurring an extra gear change. There is no benefit in going with a taller diameter tire or anything wider with the grip the 245 width drag tires offer.

Just an FYI, suffered "Catastrophic Solenoid Failure" .. heh heh. Apparently NOS make notoriously **** solenoids. After about 20~ total uses, my (NOS) nitrous solenoid ate itself along with the NOS purge. The NX systems purge was the only one still working (except the NOS fuel solenoid)
Needless to say, all the NOS solenoids are being (well, already have been!) removed. Having some other stuff done as well (bottle mount changes, oxygen sensor install (finally!)....
If anyone has any good suggestions on bottle warmers please let me know. I was looking at NX's fire & ice product but it is "out of production".....

All NOS solenoids have been removed. NX all the way for now. Bracket mounts have been redone and new, better brackets are being installed. Bottle warmers arrive tomorrow... getting close!

Propane Torch
Even though heating bottles with a propane torch is a popular method, it's dangerous and can get people hurt.
Aluminum starts to melt around 800 degrees and applying that much heat for too long in any one spot can weaken the bottle causing it to rupture. Think!!! We're talking about an aluminum (which melts easily) nitrous bottle filled with an oxidizer at high pressures and applying a torch (filled with fuel) to it - not a wise idea. Don't even consider using a torch on a carbon fiber bottle.
There are more reasons, besides the obvious safety issues, to not use a torch to heat your bottles. Many tracks have outlawed this practice and some sanctioning bodies such as IHRA, AMA/Pro-Star have as outlawed it as well. Those telltale scorch marks on a bottle may also prevent you from getting the bottle refilled at many locations.

No, there are no apparent signs of engine damage from the NOS solenoid failure:
Basically, the solenoids NOS make are ****, especially when used in conjuction with a progressive controller. It eats them in a handful of runs. Pretty disappointing. Even my PURGE solenoid disintigrated, apparently they can't handle anything more than 975PSI.
So.. an update:
I was previously running on a single NOS nitrous solenoid and a single NOS fuel solenoid, and two more nitrous solenoids: one NOS purge, one NX purge. Guess which was the ONLY piece that lasted? The NX.
The above configuration has been replaced completely, i now have (single stage, progressive):
2x NX nitrous solenoids
2x NX fuel solenoids
2x NX nitrous purges
The whole system was re-jetted and re-tuned. All I will say right now is 5XX HP and 5XX TQ!!!!!
I have a show this weekend (Saturday) so I will likely get pictures, etc, from there and do a more detailed writeup and share actual dyno numbers. I also am hoping to get some track runs in.
I only got to use the system for a little bit today (got it back late last night), but it freaking MOVES.. can't wait to track it!

I can't wait for runs and times along with video would be nice. Way to go. sounds scary fast. Now just make sure you have grip when you do runs. That seems to be the biggest problem when adding that much HP and TQ to these cars well to any cars for that matter.
