With better conditions you'd be easily in the 120+ range IMO and with a 1.8-1.9 launch, you'd be in 11s easily. Definitely tires, prep, and conditions had a lot to do with your times. Get some 18" rears with the 245 MT drag radials and you should be able to use the nitrous in 1st gear. Typically our cars are still in 1st gear or just starting 2nd gear at the 60' mark. Unfortunately, using the drag radials and putting some good heat into it, our cars stock tend to bog and actually get WORSE 60' than street tires. The street tires on a nicely prepped track seems to give a little more slip and gives me better 60'. ie: 1.90 vs. 1.94 for me. Too bad Florida just doesn't have a fast track - it's like you're driving underwater there. LOL

1.7 60F that really good what tires are you running?

My set up is COMPLETELY hidden I am running a dry shot on the car I am running a single exhaust I put the bottle under the car where the 2nd muffler used to go all of my nitrous lines are under the car going up into the engine bay next to brake cylinder on the drivers side then I have it wrapped in some plastic hosing that matches the rest of the engine bay running along the firewall over the brake cylinder under the intake manifold and when I want to use it I just pop it in the breather on my joe z intake and im good to go I will take some pictures of my engine bay late in the day to show how it looks
I am on hankook ventus v12 evo k110's and with a short burn out they work well beyond my expectations the only time they have ever spun on me bad was when I decided to do a full blown john force 2nd gear burnout at the track and wound up making the tires slick

Oz do you squeeze out of the hole? are you on a button or a WOT? next time you go try dropping your tire pressure I run mine street and strip 23 pounds passenger rear 21 pounds (power tire) driver rear and 38 pounds up front be sure to drop it gradually cause if you go to low you wont hook up as well and if you have already tried that and it didnt work.... well then Id say its about time you buy some mickey thompsons et streets or bfg t/a drag radials but in order to do that you will need another 2 wheels cause as far as I know no one makes a 19 inch drag radial but I am willing to bet my car on it that if you could hook up and get a good 60' you would break 11's easily

thanks for the constructive feedback. I will keep an eye out for some rims.. i'm not a huge fan of having to swap rims to run at the track, but i'd be willing to give it a few tries. I may also just raise the car and get my camber evened out and make some runs that way. It's bizarre that the car bogs down with a good hookup, kind of disappointing.. but perhaps it's an intentional lexus design(?).. I really dont want to destroy the transmission.

The IS-F will bog if trying to launch around the transmissions stall speed or higher and if the tires have grip. This is why launching at relatively low rpms (around 1100) seems to work best. As for the IS350 it too will bog and sometimes act real funny if the grip is there and you try to launch from a higher rpm. I think I tried launching the IS350 between 2500-3000rpm once just to see what it would do and it lunged forward only to then bog as if the tranny was pi$$ed that I tried doing that.

JESUS how did you get it to rev so high? Ill start to spin at 2300 and then for about 150 feet after that haha strangely enough at the track 2 months ago I launched at about 1800 like i normally do and squeezed out of the hole and the car didnt just bog it seemed to have lost all power for almost a full second like launching with traction control on in water

Yup that sounds similar to what I experienced with the IS350, which is why I never tried to launch like that again. It freaked me out. I got the rpms up as high as I could with the BFG drag tires. Those things had tremendous grip. I think the rpms were closer to the 2500 range somewhere just before the stall.

I was just doing some thinking about the IS-F's and the additional hp from N20 and the Turbo setups we've seen so far. On the dyno both setups produce very good numbers, but at the track they have failed to produce results that coincide with the dyno figures. Could it be possible that with the air resistance and extra load on a car at the track vs the dyno that the transmission is just not holding the power and slipping?

Honestly I think its lack of dialed in Track & Driver Time...

I doubt the tranny is slipping.. I think when you guys experience the tranny bog down and power cut off, thats just another fail safe kicking in..

Maybe time for a set of slicks!!!
