high revs.
Sometimes when I floor the accelerator in manual, I forget to shift up gears and you hear the engine scream ....how bad is this. It's happened plenty of times.

Bouncing off the rev limiter often is not a good thing. You will end up bending valves and damaging the cams.
If you're forgetting to shift, it would probably be best if you left it in D.

I have done it plenty of times in a 03' Z06 . And it's happened a few times in the F . I hope they have enough safety built into the stock ECM to eliminate engine damage as well as a pushrod V-8 Chevy !

Seriously, you could bounce it off the limiter all day and it won't complain nor will it fail any sooner. It's not advisable, but that's why the electronic limiters are there - to protect the engine from driver mistakes.

I found another "mistake" limiter when I was R&Ding the 350 way back when and its also present on the IS-F ...
When you select "P" Park, after switiching out of another gear selection, the rev limiter will not allow you to pass a certain RPM...
Even if you mash the gas pedal to wide open throttle..
You have to wait a couple of seconds, before you can rev hard...
