hey guys I installed the K&N intake yesterday and so far I love the noise, during the lower revs you can hear the V8 real good. Also I did notice I felt I lost some torque but did gain some HP. Either or this is just my opinion but I love it so far alot

your 60 ft time is horrible, should be able to do a 2.0 or at least a 2.1 60ft. did you lower air pressure in your rear tires? did you do a nice burnout?

I did a burn out, that's not the problem, the tires are not slipping it's the trans. I had my buddy watching the tires the whole time

This thread is borderline completely useless. Is anyone going to dyno this thing properly and not just write "it sounds nice and I think it's faster." It's getting annoying

On the K and N website, they did say the car loses both torque and Hp before 2000 rpm, but afterwards of 2000rpm, you see a jump up in both. but regardless, the car sounds so much more like a real v8 after the K and N intake install, I like it. Sooner or later, everyones gonna order a K and N for their IsF. By the way, how do you FEEL hp gain in your car while feeling torque loss?

exactly. The two are inseparably linked by math.
the only way that makes any sense is to say that it feel like you lost some tq down low and gained some up high, which translates to more hp up top.

I agree this damn intake needs a proper dyno; before & after.

EXACTLY!! It's like saying I dynoed my car and got 403whp, but I don't have a baseline......or I got 317whp, but I don't have a baseline......

^ You're probably referring to me. I didnt have a baseline because i didnt have a chance to. It was more a spur of the moment decision to dyno after having the exhaust done. I left info in regards to the dyno shop that tested my car. If anything, the same info could be used to know where an accurate tuning, low reading dyno is in the San Fernando Valley. Have you contributed anything? Or, how bout you pay for us non "baseliners" to return back to stock and then pay for the dyno. You come up with the money, ill come up with the time. =]

Here's the dyno of my brothers C63. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7EGKh8Pd6c

The exhaust put me 1whp short of a stock C63, as i've previously mentioned. Do what you want with the info.. Believe it or not, hate on it.. whatever.

What track? I agree with others you shouldn't have any trouble running at least a 12.8 even in the heat.
